Other Information
Facility Located in Mesa, between Lindsay and Gilbert roads just South of McDowell. This in-home dance studio is equipped for teaching children in a small, yet professional setting.
Performances Dance performances are a little different at the Dance Loft. Because we believe dance is primarily an art form and our students are quite young we don’t participate in competitions or put on a large scale recital. We will have a parent observation day and an informal demonstration/performance every 16 week session.
Calendar Spring session begins January 8th, and runs through the week of May 2nd. Parent observation week will be the second week of February. There will be NO classes during Spring Break. The next session will be a Summer intensive.
Enrollment After the best class level is determined, students enroll and tuition is paid . If you choose, you can pay for all 16 weeks at once. At a minimum, you must purchase four classes at a time. If a student misses class one week, there is no charge. Make up classes will be arranged. Students can enroll and begin taking classes at any time during the dance year, however, it is recommended that they begin at the start of each 16 week period. Completion of an enrollment packet is required before initial enrollment.
If interested we welcome trades as a payment option. Please ask for more information when you receive an enrollment packet.
Policies Please arrive no earlier that 10 minutes prior to class time, and please return for your child right after the class ends. You are more than welcome to wait inside for your child, but please keep voices soft as it can be distracting to your children. All students in creative class wear a black leotard, convertible tights or anklet socks, and ballet slippers. Students in ballet/jazz classes must wear a black leotard, pink tights and ballet slippers. Skirts are allowed in all classes. Male dancers need to wear comfortable fitting clothing. Hair must be worn up and out of eyes.
Mission Statement & Philosophy
To a young child, the dance studio can be a magical place. At the Dance Loft, your child will experience the enchantment through: creating and performing dances, applying artistic concepts while developing fundamental movement skills, and making connections between movement and learning. The Dance Loft is a positive place for your child to take their first steps (and leaps) in dance or further enhance their dance abilities.
